Astor Place Community Garden and Park Coalition is the vision of Astor Place Neighborhood Association President,Tinia Bland. The Astor Place Community Garden started June 30, 2012 as a partnership with Julia A. Barnes School in Jersey City, New Jersey. In the first year the garden volunteers grew a wonderful mixture of fruits, vegetables and flowers. The garden beds are large and welcome all growers. For information contact the ASTORJC@AOL.COM.

The Garden and Park Coalition volunteers receive education, instructions and help when needed from one of our  Master Gardner's. The Garden and Park Coalitation enjoy  a wide variety of collaborations with youth, adults, families, churches, civic organizations, high schools, elementary schools, nursey schools, relious groups and seniors from awide varity of places including several Cities, States and countries finding a peaceful growing place. The Garden welcomes donations and volunteers.
